Anomaly: The Journal Entry Day 2

Saturday, 7th February 2015

Day 2 of shooting was a day that we were on point at our film game. We were very serious at getting the shots we wanted.  Good thing the place were shooting at is our friend's place. I slept over so I could get a head start at looking at the set (house) or what could be done better when we are using this amazing set. So we can discuss as a team to where the scene is going to take place. I tried recording a timepiece of the sunrise just in case we needed it, to extend the film but I totally failed. I used a GoPro to film it, and its just to noisy and I deleted it shortly. As our team arrived at around 11 o'clock we were also expecting the other actors  to come, but unfortunately they were late. We didn't waste that time though. We were productive enough. We discussed about how the scene is going to be, and where is it going to take place. Then, eventually the actors came. We gave time for them to prepare as they are getting into character. At one point of the shooting, we finally used the 'Dutch Angle' where it present a 'dramatic effect'. Since Gio was the cinematographer and he researched about it a lot for a recent assignment, we decided to use the Dutch angle on a scene where Haneef (the actor) was going up the stairs (You'll see it in the movie). We managed to shoot 3 scenes that day. It was a wonderful day, it was sunny and it didn't rain at all. There was a scene that we had to use a dolly, it was the first time I used a dolly and probably Gio's too. When the first time we used the dolly, we didn't expect that there was going to be a reflection from the windows, but fortunately we have a awesome VFX guy that goes with the name of Gabriel Bima. He blurred the window refection as so the audience couldn't see the camera as we are shooting the scene.
